The Islands Oil Spill Association was awarded a grant to assist with the costs of replacing a 29-year-old motor for one of the primary spill response vessels, which is stationed at the Port of Friday Harbor. This vessel is designated to be one of the two primary boats prepared to meet the state’s required 2 & 3 hour response time-frame for San Juan County.
