Darleen moved to San Juan Island in 1998 from Evergreen, Colorado. Darleen worked for the San Juan Island School District as Secretary to the Superintendent for one year. She then worked for eleven years as Personal Assistant to Jackie and Jerry Inskeep. She has a BBA from Texas Christian University and MBA from the University of Dallas. Prior to moving to San Juan Island Darleen had a career in healthcare marketing with Presbyterian Healthcare System, Dallas, TX; North Broward Hospital District, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Alcon Laboratories, Ft. Worth, TX. She is also a glass artist with her work shown in galleries throughout the United States. She resides full time on San Juan Island with her spoiled dog, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named “Panda”. Darleen coordinates scholarships and grants.
