PIMC November 11, 2012The Foundation is proud to have championed the creation of PeaceHealth, Peace Island Medical Center and to have raised $10 million in support of the project.  The Foundation will continue in its role to accept charitable donations to Peace Island Medical Center. Contributions support a variety of on-going and expanded healthcare, wellness and treatment programs. Your gift will ensure that our new medical center can provide world-class healthcare far into the future.  Donations made by check should be made payable to the San Juan Island Community Foundation with “PIMC’, noted in the memo line.  Legacy gifts may also be made through The Community Foundation.

Peace Island Medical Center – an integrated critical access medical facility – opened for care on November 26, 2012.  This award-winning facility includes a new clinic, hospital, a cancer care and specialty center and a 24-hour emergency department.  State-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment equipment, backed by the latest in information technology, can now provide a coordinated and seamless continuum of care between your home base here in the islands and wherever you might receive treatment.

PeaceHealth is a non-profit healthcare organization that partnered with the San Juan Island community to create an award winning home for medical care and serves residents and visitors of the San Juan Islands by delivering safe, evidence-based healthcare to all, regardless of ability to pay.
