SJICF Scholarship
The San Juan Island Community Foundation Scholarship Fund provides scholarship awards for San Juan Island residents wishing to further their education at an accredited community college, two-year college, four-year university, graduate school program, or vocational/career program.
Eligibility Requirements
- High school graduation or GED certification.
- San Juan Island resident.
- Student has been accepted to an accredited community college, two year college, four-year college or university, graduate program, or vocational/career program.
- Demonstrated financial need.
Details
Applicants must:
- Show a commitment to scholastic achievement.
- Show the ability to successfully complete the program with excellence and in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Participate in an in-person interview.
Applicants cannot:
- Be a member or relative of SJICF board or review committees.
- Be an SJICF employee or relative of an employee.
- Be an employee or family member of donors to the scholarship for which you are applying.
Application & Re-application
Although SJICF Scholarship applications are reviewed year-round, all new applications for fall term 2026 funding should be completed by Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to be reviewed as part of the annual scholarship process. Checks for scholarships awarded during the annual process will be mailed to schools in mid-July.
If you were awarded an SJICF Scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year, please complete the re-application form. We are extending the re-application deadline to Monday, June 1, 2026, to allow time for returning students to receive and submit 2026-2027 financial aid award offers.
