Homes for Islanders’ mission is to work independently and with other housing organizations throughout San Juan County to provide all types of housing and housing assistance to very low, low and moderate income residents, and other residents in need.

At this point the organization is being managed by the Board of Directors. All staff members have been released. HFI has the necessary funds available to manage more self help construction developments but cannot find suitable affordable land to continue operations.
