Maude Cumming, Board Chair

Maude Cumming has been working around the local public school system for the past 20 plus years. She has moved from the esteemed position of volunteer, to bus driver, to high school attendance secretary (best Mom job ever), to Executive Assistant to the Superintendent (best public service job ever), all while raising two fine young men, Dan and Tim Cumming, and playing second fiddle to the now retired Sheriff Bill Cumming.

Besides working around educators, who she calls “the greatest people in the world of work”, Maude has developed hobbies that include anything with books, knitting, hiking, boating and “anything but gardening”. Maude has functioned on many local boards, including (predictably) the PTA boards at each school, Dollars for Scholars, 4H, Little League, and every sport in which her boys were ever active. Back in the ole days, pre-family life, Maude worked for the State Parks as a Ranger, and served locally as an EMT. As a graduate from Western Washington University (BA Biology), Maude considers herself the “quintessential Northwest Girl”. She loves her boat (1947 Troller, Kath-Ell), her tennis shoes, and her dogs.

Maude was elected to serve as Board Chair in February 2021.
