Carrie was born and raised in beautiful Leavenworth, WA and earned a BS degree in Community Health Education from Central Washington University. After graduating in 2007, she moved to San Juan Island to work at Inter Island Medical Center.
Carrie transitioned to Peace Island Medical Center upon its opening in 2012 as the Executive Assistant in Administration. In July of 2014, Carrie joined the San Juan Island Community Foundation as Operations Manager and was promoted to Executive Director in 2016. She welcomed the additional responsibilities and quickly decided the Foundation was the perfect fit for her interests. Carrie is active as a member of Rotary, CATS (Community Arts Theatre Society) and Peace Island Volunteers.
Carrie and her family have made San Juan Island their home for the past fifteen years and are here to stay. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Juan, their two young children, Aries and Athena, and their two dachshunds, Daphne and Darla.
