As part of the 2023 San Juan County Fair Campaign, the Joyce L. Sobel Family Resource Center received $5,431.00 to fund The New Day Recovery Café, providing inclusive support to islanders recovering from mental health struggles, substance use, grief, and loss through free meals, educational activities, and peer-based supports delivered in a spirit of compassion and “radical hospitality” four days per week.
