SJICF Scholarship

The San Juan Island Community Foundation Scholarship Fund provides scholarship awards for San Juan Island residents wishing to further their education at an accredited community college, two-year college, four-year university, graduate school program, or vocational/career program.

Eligibility Requirements

  • High school graduation or GED certification.
  • San Juan Island resident.
  • Student has been accepted to an accredited community college, two year college, four-year college or university, graduate program, or vocational/career program.
  • Demonstrated financial need.

Details

Applicants must:

  • Show a commitment to scholastic achievement.
  • Show the ability to successfully complete the program with excellence and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Participate in an in-person interview.

Applicants cannot:

  • Be a member or relative of SJICF board or review committees.
  • Be an SJICF employee or relative of an employee.
  • Be an employee or family member of donors to the scholarship for which you are applying.

Application & Re-application

2026 SJICF Scholarship application and re-application forms will be released in mid-March. Any completed forms received before Wednesday, April 22, 2026, will be reviewed as part of the annual scholarship process, and checks will be mailed to schools in mid-July.
