The San Juan Island School District was awarded a grant to support the Deferred Action of Childhood Arrival (DACA) & Deferred Action of Parents of Americans (DAPA) Update. The district hosted a program at the San Juan Community Theatre to inform community members about the Supreme Court’s decision regarding President Obama’s executive orders protecting non-criminal undocumented immigrants from deportation. Attendees learned the decision of the Supreme Court and how it would impact their family and community.
