SJICF + Peace Island Medical Center = A Partnership for a Healthier Community

The San Juan Island Community Foundation (SJICF) is proud to have been the catalyst for the creation of PeaceHealth’s Peace Island Medical Center in Friday Harbor, bringing a critical healthcare facility to our community in 2012.

SJICF championed the project from inception to completion and raised $10 million to improve access to quality healthcare for all islanders, regardless of their ability to pay.

Since PeaceHealth PIMC opened its doors, SJICF has continued to provide support through grants in excess of $4 million.

About Peace Island Medical Center (PIMC)

PIMC includes a clinic, hospital, a cancer care and specialty center, and a 24-hour emergency department.  State-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment equipment, backed by the latest in information technology provides a coordinated and seamless continuum of care between your home in the islands and wherever you might receive treatment.

Contributions by community-minded individuals and businesses support a variety of ongoing and expanded healthcare, wellness and treatment programs.
