2025 Inskeep Legacy Scholarship Re-Application

Please complete this application if you are re-applying for an Inskeep Legacy Scholarship and you meet the following qualifications:

You received an Inskeep Legacy Scholarship from us within the past year.
You are attending an accredited college working toward a four-year degree.
You maintained a minimum 2.5 GPA and a course load of at least 12 credit hours per term.
You can demonstrate financial need.

IMPORTANT! Applicants must re-apply each year for subsequent funding. It is solely the student’s responsibility to obtain and complete the re-application each year, complete with supporting documents, by the deadline. No incomplete materials will be accepted.

This scholarship is not available to members or relatives of the San Juan Island Community Foundation (SJICF) Board; Members or relatives of SJICF Scholarship Review Committees; SJICF employees and their relatives; and employees or family members of donors to the scholarship for which you are applying.

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

The following support materials MUST be received in the San Juan Island Community Foundation office in order to have your application reviewed. If your completed application and support documents are not received by April 23, 2025, your application will be considered incomplete and not eligible for review.

1. PERSONAL ESSAY*

Submit a short (maximum 600 words) essay describing how you have benefited from the past year's educational experience. Please provide specific examples. This essay should demonstrate your ability to organize thoughts and express yourself; please do not use artificial intelligence. Grammar, spelling, and clarity are important.

2. OFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS

Please have the latest official transcript sent directly from your college to the San Juan Island Community Foundation via email (scholarships@sjicf.org) or mail (PO Box 1352, Friday Harbor, WA 98250). Please ensure you've submitted your request in plenty of time to be processed and received by the deadline.

3. FAFSA/WASFA SUBMISSION SUMMARY*

Please attach a copy of your 2025-2026 FAFSA Submission Summary (previously known as the FAFSA Student Aid Report/SAR) or your 2025-2026 WASFA Application.
